From 2022 Exhibition at Snide Hotel:
My current practice in the studio revolves around having fun and experimenting with found, familiar, and cheap materials to create beautiful things out of them. Those beautiful things can be paintings, objects, assemblages, or sculptures. In the process of these experiments, there are mistakes, unknowns, and glitches that often make the piece more interesting than initially intended. “Not knowing” makes the process engaging and exciting. I haven’t set out to find a ‘perfect process’ to create multiples of a particular type of piece. I want each piece to have its own personality or quirks, even if the materials are the same.
